Ahhh, Wendy, Wendy, Wendy… here I come!

OK Cathleen, sorry it took me a bit, but here I go with My Fave Top 5 of yours!

1. “In thought about love”

It is rare that I personally find an out of focus image appealing, except when it is done right and in such an artistic way that it accentuates the overall impact of the image visually for me. Whether by accident or not, you have grabbed me with this image. I don’t mind saying that you are a beautiful woman, and this picture really captures that. The tug on the ear really for me engages my mind and makes me want to know what you know!

2. “Oh Christmas”

This image is fantastic because it is bright, has a nice repating pattern, and uses selective focus as effectively as it can be used to draw me into the image and capture my attention!

3. “I can fly! Oww…no I can’t”

This is a fabulous moment of natural bliss, and I think it works better as BW instead of color, for me anyway! The simple background is perfect, lets the eye focus on the baby rhino and his speed is really translated to me in this!

4. “New Zealand Fern”

I love this, I am always drawn to simple, colorful, repeating patterns of things in nature that fill the frame! I love it as the silver fern version as well, but I had to pick one! I know that this is a high contrast scene, but in this situation it works perfectly to accentuate the glisten on the fronds and the textured detail inthe edges!

5. “Sore flower bleeding”

Flower shots are a dime a dozen, every site one goes to, and it is really hard to create something that is visually engaging and unique with them in my opinion. Here, because you placed the orchid off-center to an extreme, much like I like to do with my wildlife images, you have pushed out of the box and made it different and interesting beyond just a nice closeup of a pretty orchid! Another fabulous work.

It was hard for me to limit myself to just 5 of your images, but I did it begrudgingly. You have an excellent eye and visual creativeness that I look forward to seeing much more of in the coming years! Thanks for the invite, this was a fun game!

1. Orange Daisy Juice Flower – I Love daisys and these are BEAUTIFUL.

First of all, I like this because I hadn`t seen it before and the colors are totally awesome:

Then there`s this one cause I still have visions of you rushing past your guests with a bowl of eggs just to get a wicked shot while the idea was still hot:

The of course there`s this one, because you asked me for help with selecting the rhino which I thought was really sweet and I still can`t wait to see the finished collage!

Now this one is just way gorgeous and even though I generally think flower shots are prissy, I love this so definitely it gets included in my favs!

This is another one I hadn`t seen and just have to love it cause it looks like some bad-ass skeletal creature chilling out on the beach and bleaching his bones—as if they need bleaching!
