Strength…Or gathering strength ,.... great work!
Peter Evans
It totally depends on what she wants.
Personally I believe that woman are vulnerable only when they want to be and then they do it so well.
Except in a relationship that is against the norm ie: abusive, women hold the cards to cover just about everything. Always have, always will. No, I don’t have anything against that I just have the guts to know and admit it!!!
AND I don’t make money out of the BS…....... telling women that they are second rate !!
Of course it’s strength, she is showing her vulnerability to gain a position :
)) xxSorry Cath I’ve just read some feminist crap and I’m just getting a little sick and tired of the negative female BS on this site at the moment and you just happened to ask a valid contemporary question while I am still annoyed, actually I’m pissed off but not at you :
elliewinds
fantastic portrait!
Miron Abramovici
Great – both portrait and question! Clearly the answer is “both” – the boundary between them is fluid.
Cathleen Taraw... replied
Thank you Miron, yes, very fluid.
Wesley Picotte
Have to agree with Miron on this one. The answer is both, for me, and your portrait conveys this really well.

Gorgeous portrait, and a great title that has really made me (and others it would seem!) study the image and think about it.

What a beautiful portrait – Love the tones and the darkness and the tight cropping. I see both strength and vulnerability in her.

Cathleen this is a superb portrait. I love the cropping…the composition, the lighting, the colours, the way her hair falls over one eye….it’s just fabulous. I have to be boring and go with the consensus…she portrays both strength and vulnerablity…they are intrinsically entwined…like yin and yang.
Cathleen Taraw... replied
Thanks Estelle, you hit the nail on the head for with the yin and yang.
HenkStolk
great color and light. Like the gritty treatment
