the tree

caught me,
drew me in
and held me
in her branches
with moods of motion
and living life,
with each branch entwined in the past
and reaching forward
to new heights
of lived in days
her beauty
and wisdom
of what has come
and is to be
enthralls my soul…
it spurs my spirit on,
with a thankful heart
and a hopeful knowledge
of the maker
of all time
and the roots
from all past
entwined in it’s earth…
raised to the heavens above…
declaring the circle,
we,
humbly
play a part in…
but a moment…
in the expanse
of all that is
