Playin' with the Lizard
From my cubism collection. Something about a woman and a giant lizard playing guitar together must have needed to come out of me. I think it’s good not to dwell on why things are the way they are. I had fun painting this one, but it was the most complicated thing I’ve ever done. If you look closely at this painting, you can see the lizard and the woman playing this guitar together. Everyone knows that lizards like to play guitar alone, but I thought it would be okay to take this liberty. This is a large painting, and is currently on display at Merrill Lynch.
