Jestor Comes To Dinner
This piece is from my cubist collection. I love cubism and I have my own way with it. I think cubism should be as fun as possible, because it’s a fun style. It’s also a complicated way to paint, and hats off to any artist out there making the attempt.
Painting cubism is such a unique state of awareness that an artist can become completely immersed in the process of painting it. Jestor Comes to Dinner was a nonsensical statement about the chaotic nature of meeting new people. I wanted it to convey the possibility of all the fun and adventure of unexplored social beginnings. I always value the days when I encounter someone new and interesting. That’s what this painting is about for me.
While this is oil on canvas, I brought together several different brush techniques to achieve the subject matter. For some reason, I didn’t paint for 6 weeks after painting this one. That never happens.
I hope this painting makes people smile a little, life is too short to be taken so seriously all the time.

It’s really cool the way your eye is pulled to the high-middle of the painting. It has all my favorite colorz too! Nice fresh take on cubism!

Mr. Sears. A friend tried t o explain cubism to me about 40 years ago and I couldn’t understand it. Is there a mathmatical formula involved in it ???? Thanks. You can bubbleail me if you care to.
