Thanks, actually the Hawk was wounded and it was easy to get close for the shot. Our local animal people took care of him and he has since returned to the “wild”.

Thank you Roslyn. Actually I was only about 4 feet away when I shot this. The hawk had a broken wing, but was determined not to let anyone get close – hence the poseand expression. Wing is healed and the hawk has returned to its natural habitat.

Super focused eyes, love the way the beak ‘splits’ the tongue in half, nice having part of the wing in frame, love the uncluttered background.
