Autumn forest by Viv King

Autumn forest by

I love trees and what they represent- steadfastness, solidity, timelessness, beauty, life. I interpret them best by reverse painting on perspex using acrylic painting. This is a forest of pine trees in Hogsback, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Beautiful image! What is perspex? Is it like plexiglass?

  • Yes perspex is pretty much the same thing as plexiglass I think. Reverse painting is done on the “back” of the glass so that the painting shines through on the front.
