Trani is a seaport in Apulia, South Italy, in the province of Bari.
The main monument of Trani is the Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Pilgrim, a Greek assassinated at Trani in 1094 and canonized by Urban II. It lies on a raised open site near the sea. For its special situation it is called the “sea cathedral”, and was completed in 1143.
It is a basilica with three apses, built in the characteristic local limestone.
Near the harbor is the Gothic Palace of the Doges of Venice, which is now used as a seminary.

Mais tu as voyagé en toute l’Italie! Tu as été partout… C’est sensationnel! Trani n’est pas, au fond, une des destinations les plus connues dans les Pouilles… C’est fantastique de pouvoir ainsi voyager. ;o)
C’est vrai que j’ai beaucoup apprécié ce voyage dans le “talon” de la botte italienne!

Donc vous avez visité le Gargano, aussi…. avec ses petits pays accrochés aux rochers et cette mer si belle…. Peschici, Vieste, Mattinata……
