This is the first time I’ve really looked at the Red Bubble site properly, although I’ve been around the perifery since its inception. Anyway – it’s fabulous. So much hard work has been put in by so many people and the result is wonderful. I really love the look of the site and the quality of the work that has been put on it is amazing. As soon as you get the ecommerce side up and running I’m going to get a Blamey!
I’ve never joined a website that you journal on – I’ve never been in a chat room – the idea of My Space sends shivers down my spine -but this is rather cathartic just sitting here and typing to myself. What is the difference do you think? Why am I not scared by Red Bubble – why am I bubbling? It’s the art!!! It makes it seem respectable I think. Anyway that’s it for now.

I have to confess that I didn’t actually come up with the term “bubbling” – Lindsay Blamey did. So in case it becomes a real word – like hoovering or googling – we should state for posterity that he came up with it. Ben in our office thinks it should be called rubbling…..

I am the same, I swear that I will only look for a minute and honestly stay for ages and ages and ages…I love it too. Same as you though, I would never ‘talk’ to anyone online…chat rooms, my space….that all seems so yuck to me. I agree in thinking that its the common ground of the sheer enjoyment of other peoples art that makes this ok for me? Weird? Thanks for your comment on my boys drawing he really gets SO chuffed when someone notices it :):)
