Beautiful Joy…just a couple of weeks ago I found similar leaves in my garden and thought of taking a photo…but now they’re covered in deep snow. I love this capture.

  • Thanks Sandra, I don’t know what the plant is.
    Stay warm.

The leaves are very pretty and look familiar, although I’m not certain of the ID. It might be a euonymus. I like the way the soft background blurs set off the leaves of this attractive plant.

  • Thanks so much Celeste, I looked up euomymus and it doe sound a lot like it. The one I called up was Emerald ‘N’ Gold Euonymus Shrubs. The one thing that I notice is that they don’t talk about the yellow berries unless this is what they class as greenish flowers.

I couldn’t tell if those were berries or buds in your photo. :) Wikipedia refers to the fruit (scroll down the page for a photo of the fruit alongside photos of foliage): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euonymus_fortunei.

  • Many thanks always for your help Celeste. I looked at your link and clicked on the photo
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:1004N%C3%B6v%... and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Euonymus_Fort... it looks exactly the same. The second link shows the fruit. Then I went to this site. http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/plants/plant_fin...
I also looked at a few other sites and yes the all refer to them as fruit.
Thanks so much for your help.
