Beautiful shot, Joy! I believe it is a poppy flower, but I’m not sure of the exact variety. Regardless of the flower’s name, it’s definitely a wonderful photo!

Beautifully presented capture Joy.. It is indeed a Californian Poppy, I have them everywhere in the front garden in spring/summer, still have some lingering on. They come in a few different colours. There is deep yellow, with an orange throat, deep yellow , orange and a cream coloured one also. I have posted some in here taken in my garden.
