This shot reminded me of the tripod vehicles the Martians used to kick some human butt in War Of The Worlds (the good one, not the Spielberg version with Tom Cruise). Actually it’s a rotating sculpture of a stylized airplane with a few video cameras and a monitor in the open mouth in front (waiting to gobble up the person in front of it), but I’m going with the Martian vehicle.

Shot at Mineta San Jose International Airport in San Jose, California. This thing actually greets arriving passengers in Terminal B.

I’ll shoot anything that catches my eye, but I love it when somebody says “I never looked at it that way before” or even just a little “ooooh”. If I can make you stop and say “hmm”, that’s the best. I normally use minimal processing; a little bump in color and/or contrast, maybe a little cropping. But sometimes I just can’t resist the urge to play with an image.
