I know, not a very imaginative title, but I forgot to ask what this bell (and the others not in this pic) were made of. I think it was copper. It might have been bronze, but it appears to be rolled and riveted, and I don’t know if they do sheet work in bronze. Oh well, another of life’s little mysteries. It looks cool.

Anyway, this is just a small bit of what was available at another booth at the Renaissance Faire in San Jose, California. This booth specialized in handmade metal objects.

I’ll shoot anything that catches my eye, but I love it when somebody says “I never looked at it that way before” or even just a little “ooooh”. If I can make you stop and say “hmm”, that’s the best. I normally use minimal processing; a little bump in color and/or contrast, maybe a little cropping. But sometimes I just can’t resist the urge to play with an image.
