1937 I think. Before Jaguar was Jaguar, they were the Swallow Sidecar Company, hence the SS. After WWII, the letters SS had kind of a bad rap in Jolly Olde England, and the Swallow Sidecar Company came to be known as Jaguar.

Full body-off restoration, one of the most gorgeous cars I have ever seen. Drool factor on a scale of 1 – 10? About a… 12.

Shot at the Palo Alto British Car Meet a few years ago.

I’ll shoot anything that catches my eye, but I love it when somebody says “I never looked at it that way before” or even just a little “ooooh”. If I can make you stop and say “hmm”, that’s the best. I normally use minimal processing; a little bump in color and/or contrast, maybe a little cropping. But sometimes I just can’t resist the urge to play with an image.

    Nice shot!

  • Thanks Monte. I love this car. I still see it occasionally at Brit Car shows.

Nice shot … love your “drool factor” scoring!
Some previously unknown info there too, thanks!

  • Thanks Trish. Nice to know somebody actually reads my descriptions. ;>)

Bob, I think that many descriptions are part of “The University of Redbubble”, which brings new information from near and far on a daily basis. I read most of those descriptions attached to the images I view, and in turn try to add some interesting information to the images I post … helps keep the brain active :)
