Lustre: Professional photo paper with a fine grain pebble texture
Metallic: Glossy finish and metallic appearance to create images with exceptional visual interest and depth
So many things happening in this pic. The big, heavy, rusty steel railroad couplers, the small, delicate California Golden Poppies growing around them and the oft red-painted corrugated tin wall of the Sierra Railroad roundhouse.
Shot at Railtown State Park in Jamestown, California.
I’ll shoot anything that catches my eye, but I love it when somebody says “I never looked at it that way before” or even just a little “ooooh”. If I can make you stop and say “hmm”, that’s the best. I normally use minimal processing; a little bump in color and/or contrast, maybe a little cropping. But sometimes I just can’t resist the urge to play with an image.
