Boiled, stacked and ready for cracking. Crab salad, hot crab legs with butter for dipping. A glass of ice cold beer. Sourdough from Boudin’s across the street. Any others?

Shot at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, one of the most popular draws are the stands where you can get seafood, including these crabs, that were alive this morning, ready for lunch by noon. Yummy. Even on a Wednesday in late October, the tourists were lining up for this stuff.

I’ll shoot anything that catches my eye, but I love it when somebody says “I never looked at it that way before” or even just a little “ooooh”. If I can make you stop and say “hmm”, that’s the best. I normally use minimal processing; a little bump in color and/or contrast, maybe a little cropping. But sometimes I just can’t resist the urge to play with an image.

  • Done. I see you’re from RC. I have a couple of images from there here on the Bubble; mostly down at the port and around the marina.
