After a day on the bay, sailboats and others heading for port. Shot on the Oakland Estuary from Alameda, just outside the old Naval Air Station. The wake is from a HUGE cargo ship heading for the Port of Oakland to unload.
I’ll shoot anything that catches my eye, but I love it when somebody says “I never looked at it that way before” or even just a little “ooooh”. If I can make you stop and say “hmm”, that’s the best. I normally use minimal processing; a little bump in color and/or contrast, maybe a little cropping. But sometimes I just can’t resist the urge to play with an image.
