Break time at the top of the hill on Conzelman Road at Hawk Hill, Marin Headlands, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. A nice drive (my personal preference), but a good healthy ride on a bicycle, up the hill from the GGB. At least it’s an easy ride back down.
On a fogless day, one of the most beautiful views of San Francisco and the bridge (you’ve seen views from here in movies; almost a requirement for flicks filmed in San Francisco). On a foggy day, not so scenic. Cold, damp, breezy, no hawks, at least none in sight.
Shot from inside a tunnel that goes under the hill and leads to trails roaming all over the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and the nearby former Nike missile bases and other assorted military fortifications defending the Golden Gate. I hope that’s just water from the fog on the floor of the tunnel and not something else. Note the porta-potty at the mouth of the tunnel.
