Introducing leggings. You’ll never run out of inspiration.

A section of the original Fresnel lens used at Pigeon Point Lighthouse since 1872 until it was retired a couple of years ago. This lens was originally used as the replacement lens for the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, then eventually sent to California. It survived the great earthquakes of 1906 and 1989 and is now on display at the lighthouse’s museum.

Progress has rendered most lighthouses useless for navigation, but thankfully they have been preserved for us to admire.

I’ll shoot anything that catches my eye, but I love it when somebody says “I never looked at it that way before” or even just a little “ooooh”. If I can make you stop and say “hmm”, that’s the best. I normally use minimal processing; a little bump in color and/or contrast, maybe a little cropping. But sometimes I just can’t resist the urge to play with an image.
