It gives us those nice bright colors.

Shot around 1980 and one of the few examples of color photography I have from that time since I shot almost exclusively black and white. Yes, I did use my Nikon camera, a nice shiny new F2AS, playing around with backlighting using my Vivitar 283 flash with a remote cord and colored filters.

I’ll shoot anything that catches my eye, but I love it when somebody says “I never looked at it that way before” or even just a little “ooooh”. If I can make you stop and say “hmm”, that’s the best. I normally use minimal processing; a little bump in color and/or contrast, maybe a little cropping. But sometimes I just can’t resist the urge to play with an image.

    Fantastic work Bob.
1980 Wow! you must have got that camera from Santa when you were ten or so.

  • Thanks Myra. A leetle older than 10, and not from Santa. My own hard earned bucks. But I made the camera pay for itself just like the Nikon fTN it replaced and other cameras that have come along through the years. I still have the F2AS, but it’s pretty much retired now. It earned it.
