I hate climbing spiral stairways (think St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna), but they do make some interesting photos. This one was shot on the utside of some kind of storage tank at the old Treasure Island naval base in San Francisco.
Second time there, shooting up what I missed the first time around.
I’ll shoot anything that catches my eye, but I love it when somebody says “I never looked at it that way before” or even just a little “ooooh”. If I can make you stop and say “hmm”, that’s the best. I normally use minimal processing; a little bump in color and/or contrast, maybe a little cropping. But sometimes I just can’t resist the urge to play with an image.
