What would a Japanese garden be without an arch bridge? This one is at Hakone Gardens in Saratoga, California

bob wall, btwgf, bridge, arch

I’ll shoot anything that catches my eye, but I love it when somebody says “I never looked at it that way before” or even just a little “ooooh”. If I can make you stop and say “hmm”, that’s the best. I normally use minimal processing; a little bump in color and/or contrast, maybe a little cropping. But sometimes I just can’t resist the urge to play with an image.

Wonderful capture, which looks great b & w Bob.

  • Thanks Myra. I had to go B&W with a lot of my shots of this lovely garden. It was SO green that it was overwhelming. Not as many flowers as I have seen in the past. Maybe I just missed the growing season.

Great perspective on the beautiful curve of the bridge Bob !

  • Thanks Trish. This bridge is easy to cross. The one at the Japanese Teagarden in San Francisco is much taller and steeper. I don’t even try to cross that one anymore.
