Bettina Kaiser

Thirroul, AUSTRALIA

I believe that like explorers, artists are adventurers. During the creative process we enter uncharted territories, full of obstacles and possibilities to which we must continually respond. Our rewards are the challenges we take, the discoveries we make and the journey itself.

I work as a visual artist and designer in Australia, having grown up in the port city of Hamburg, Germany. In 2000 I decided to live and work by the grand Pacific and migrated to Australia, where I settled near Sydney on the beautiful South Coast.

My work has been exhibited in Australia, Germany, France, Poland, Russia, and now Antarctica! In 2004 she was Artist in Residence at Arthur and Yvonne Boyd’s Bundanon property, and in 2005 she won the Fishers Ghost Contemporary Art Award. In 2007 she was invited twice as artist-in-residence to Antarctica.
