Other than a photographer, I’m a web developer and a traveler. With my wife, I run Collective Lens – Photography for Social Change – a not-for-profit organization that uses photography to promote awareness of important humanitarian causes. Most of the money I make from selling my photos goes towards maintaining this organization, camera equipment, and travel. I very much enjoy traveling – not to fancy resort like places – but to real places where I can learn about and mix with the people. I also have a strong interest in social change and humanitarian causes. There are so many people in the world that live in a state of poverty or close to it, and so many others that live in such wealth that are oblivious to the other half. I think this situation needs to be corrected, and the first step is education. Photography can play a big part in that education, as a single photo can quickly convey an important meaning to a wide audience.
