Canon 400D with Lensbaby Composer Pro

Title comes from The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. You can read the whole poem here (right click and open in new tab/window) ;-)

Martin Place, Sydney, pouring rain, nay, make that bucketing down with rain with me standing in the middle of it all, umbrella jammed in under the left side of head/ear, kind of like what you do with a telephone handset only much more difficult as the stem of the brolly is rather thin. Camera held up to my right eye trying to get this photo before the wind blows the brolly away and exposes the camera & myself to the torrential downpour. Now that’s what I call fun! ;-)

Very interesting image, the tones are great and the blur makes this rather eye-catching. Well worth the drenching! I’ve done that with an umbrella before too lol I know exactly what you mean!

  • Thanks very much Damienne, I appreciate the comment and the fav. It is kind of fun trying to do this and keep the camera dry. I’ll have to try it again next time the storms hit Sydney. ;-)
