I called this one the Ghost House as when I was looking at one of the photos of it on my pc, I felt a strong urge to zoom in on the bottom left window. I saw a face in the window, it was a ghostly blue and and looked like a decayed corpse, but it was upright and looking out the window at me! I called my wife and asked her if she could see anything in the window, as I was sure my eyes were playing tricks on me. She pointed it out and i asked her to describe it as well. We both saw the same thing. Then I looked at the bottom right window and there is an evil grinning face, set back a bit from the window, and again, looking at me taking the photo. My wife could see it as well. We both got goosebumps. Freaky or what! Oh, btw, I’m a BIG skeptic when it comes to these things so I told my wife we have to go back to Sofala and investigate it a bit more. With all the rubbish lying around this building, we’ll need our steel toed boots to get near it I’d reckon.

Sofala is the oldest surviving gold town in Australia. It is located approximately 45kms NE of Bathurst. We took a detour to Sofala on the way back from Mudgee though. Sofala started off in 1851 as a tent city and grew from there. It is now rather a small town with a few very narrow roads.
