First Thoughts
And slowly I wake
My mind opens wide
A smile spreads across me
You’re there by my side
A morning delight
As I lean and I see
That your beautiful body
Is still close to me
I remember the evening
Our laughter and fun
As we talked and we kissed
Until the end of the sun
That short dainty walk
As you led me to bed
No words were exchanged
Nothing more to be said
And we entered a world
That only we share
As the night now surrounds us
Our loving is there
Such passion was found
In each other’s caress
And the joy of our love
Was simply the best
And so at the dawn
I lean and I say
