Power, dawn and contrails ...
Pylons at Dawn
They carry power like metal beasts
Astride the countryside
Crackling with ferocity
They’re tall and oh so wide
As morning breaks around them
The contrails fill the sky
As man and nature vie
For colours bright and high
A psychedelic mixture
As to the clouds they reach
With yellows reds and orange
Whites and pink and peach
So like leviathans
They stand so tall and proud
Across the many miles
Whilst all around are cowed
