Eureka Stockade Flag

Eureka Stockade Flag

When the gold miners of the Ballarat, Victoria, Australia area had had enough of unjust persecution by the corrupt authorities and after the murder of a young man, they banded together as a cohesive group under this flag to make a stand. Sadly, they were undermined and sold out and the ensuing battle, although fierce, was short lived and doomed to failure.

The reality was then that the high flyers of the corporate world in Melbourne were suffering commercially because of the lack of labour absonding to the gold fileds in search of fortune (not unlike the Klondike gold rush) they corporate miscreants caused to come about the misuse of power, with the subsequent harrassment of the miners with incessant police scrutiny of claims.

This flag also commemorates the first crooked coronial inquiry into a death, recorded in Australian history.

This flag, is the real Australian Flag, yet to take its rightful place as the proud display of Australia and all it stands for, both historically and futuristically
