I am interested in aesthetics, theological philosophy and apologetics. I’ve also studied psychology and music. I’ve been a long time fan of all things artistic, and a sometime maker of visual art. Recently I decided for various reasons to try to bring all these elements together.

I love stuff that I can show my adult children and grandchildren, fuzzy animals and fruit with raisin faces, but then again I might portray something, well, controversial. I also am inclined to do work with religious themes, but I ought to call them “NSFC” Not Safe For Church for the same reasons. Jesus loves the little children, and yet the Bible has some pretty gory stuff, just like all of life including things related to the body. I’ve come to love truth, and beauty, and goodness, and to appreciate the reality of a fallen world.

I’m a beginning artist in several styles and formats, and have some work in encaustics, acrylic paintings, photography, fine art drawing and cartoon & comics art. When I make a new work that seems at least ok, I’ll try to get it on the site.

Beyond making art, I enjoy being a booster, finding the real good stuff people are making, celebrating what they do and talking about it with them. It’s a happy thing when you can continue to be a fan even if you’re a pro, in any field.
