  • Bruce Dickson:

You are so lucky to live in a land of perpetual thanksgiving!

I know my many friends & family in Australia (and especially Melbourne) now fully understand and appreciate the happy, laid back and outgoing qualities that thousands upon thousands of your friendly fellow Italians bestowed as immigrants on their lives.

Back in the fifties as a result of these migrations, non-Aboriginal Australians were finally able to move culturally en masse from bland English sausage to bubbling Italian espresso … because your compatriots have always known, above all, how to live life to the full and enjoy all its bounties.

Their influence is reflected today in Australian’s underlying philosophy of ‘work to live, not live to work’! We are all Italians now it seems (if not Aboriginals as they too always possessed and shared these qualities) … with a better understanding of what life is really about ..

dear friend, you’re absolutely right! I have a cuginetta who lives in Melbourne. Her mom died few years ago, had a Aborigina art gallery. Now, Samantha tries to bring forward what your MOM did. Very difficult for a young girl, by father is Italian and my cousin. Hard to be at the height of the mother’s experience and knowledge of art. hi dear friend is a pleasure to read what you write. I use translator, I don’t know English, but I have a perfect translator! Hello from Italy

  • Bruce Dickson:

Think Aboriginals and Italians have a lot in common in terms of life outlook. Very well grounded. Really appreciate the effort it must take for you to translate english content all the time!
