these are impressive pieces of modern art … I suspect “cable TV” was added long after it was built

You’re dead right Matt. The other thing is that while it takes a certain aesthetic outlook that some can’t accept, when I try to picture this neon in a restored form without all the wear and tear, I feel something great about it would be seriously lost!
