olympic national park
In homage to trees and rainforests. For some reason the mossy growth on the tree trunks had a bright orange tinge to it at this time of the year. This was creating an amazing contrast with all the vivid greens and grabbed my attention immediately. The result … a totally eery scene, captured even more intensely by three separate handheld (HDR) exposures. Processed with Photomatix Pro.

Thanks Maggie and Claudia. Only an hdr image seems capable of capturing something of the true intensity.

Great shot , but can you do me a favour and add some information on the HDR process, things like , handheld or tripod, how many exposures if you have the setting even better, what software was used. That way I can accept into HDR Photography group
Regards
Philip

No problem Philip – Canon G9 – three exposures hand held and processed using Photomatix Pro. Hope this helps.

Awesome colors, exposure and dof. Also very tasteful HDR work.
