    Thanks Teresa and Dinger. I had never seen this variety of lavender before … found its texture and coloring amazing. Luckily it was a very sunny day.

    What would I know … apparently it is not lavender at all! The plant’s owner has informed me that it is Stachys byzantina, commonly known as Lambs Ear. He says it always attracts bees, though it has no fragrance that he can detect … nonetheless, an amazing plant.
