Eternal Beauty

Forever rest in long grass,
dappled by the shade of trees

the flowers are all wild ones now;
grief long forgotten

caressed too many times by nature’s hand,
the letters of your name are lost

yet your beauty lives on in the warmth of the sunlight;
your laughter on the wings of bees.
