Vine Charcoal on Paper

This piece was particularly difficult in that the model in the photo I was working from was covered in body paint. I wasn’t interested in the paint so I had to figure out how to work around it. It changed the way the light worked on the figure and caused a number of headaches. I’ll continue to do figurative work, but I’m putting a moratorium on body painting for now.
