Autumn

My grandmother liked writing poetry and had a great poem called “Spring”. I wrote this for her as part of the Four Seasons and included her original poem.

Winter’s on it’s way,
The Autumn breeze beckons surrender,
Summer leaves,
Detach from trees,
So falls each leaf,
In golden splendour.

Well I am a songwriter and I always write WAY too many lyrics and not enough music. So anything that doesn’t find a home inside a song will end up here! So there will be more soon! :-)

What a beatiful, succinctly capture piece. Not a single word too many or too few. Sculptured writing.

Thank you Pilgrim. This was inspired by Sam Hunt’s style of poetry if you can believe that!
