Some Spring colour from Hobart’s Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.
I made this image with my 1969 Yashica TL Electro X 35mm SLR. The Yashica was fitted with a Asahi (Pentax) 35 mm f/3.5 Super Takumar wide angle lens. Image captured on Fujichrome Velvia 100F. Incident light reading taken with Minolta Auto Meter III hand held light meter. The Fujichrome was professionally E6 processed.
The Yashica is an old school brute of an SLR, made of real metal. The fully variable electronic shutter, dedicated mirror locking lever, and electronic metering, were all top shelf for a screw-mount camera in 1969. It’s a combination of features unique to that model.
