Dusk, Tasman Bridge by Brett Rogers

Currently unavailable for purchase

Available to buy on…

Hobart’s famous (or infamous) Tasman Bridge as seen from the Domain.

Photographed at dusk during 2010 with Hasselblad 500C/M medium format SLR and 150mm f4 Zeiss Sonnar telephoto. Tripod, cable, mirror pre-released for sharpness. A long exposure of 30 seconds or so. Captured on (120) Fuji Film Fujichrome Velvia 100 transparency roll film. Crop from 6×6 transparency frame.

The bridge achieved a certain degree of notoriety in 1975 when it was hit by the bulk ore carrier MV Lake Illawarra, which resulted in the deaths of several motorists and ships crew.
