Detail, Saint David's Cathedral, Hobart by

The pulpit of Hobart’s Saint David’s Anglican Cathedral is a magnificent brass piece fashioned in the shape of an eagle. It is also a war memorial in its own right. The Dean of Saint David’s very kindly permitted me to erect a tripod in order to make this image.

Nice one Brett, I do like this pic and I ’m loving the lack of flare out of that window, what a bottler of a lens.

  • Thank you Anthony, I’m so pleased, and that’s a great comment. The Sonnar is a wonderful piece of glass, probably my favourite lens for the Hasselblad, it will flare a bit pointed into the sun but happily the light was streaming in at the right angle which helped a bit. Saint David’s is a place I could do a lot more imaging given a chance, I have a print of this image to drop in to them in appreciation.
