right?
These are lyrics to a song I wrote. This song is also about the woman I love…also hard to write and easy to write at the same time. It is about acceptance and loving someone as a whole. Everyone has good traits and bad traits…nobody possesses only good traits…when you love someone, you should love them “completely”. It is a disservice to the universe and to love, if you look at someone you love as an itemized list. It also deals with “loss” and cycles of things. Feelings of “loss” from death of loved ones are hard to deal with…feelings of “loss” from love un-returned are also hard to deal with.
On a different note…it was fun to make a reference to a work that is making a reference to another work. It is like a reference syllogism. My reference to “The Outsiders” making a reference to “Nothing Gold Can Stay”. It actually almost comes full circle in a loop…because the poem is partly inspired by Robert Frost.
I would put up a piece of the recorded song but I don’t think I can do that on this site.
Try to picture the rhyme as more “song-like” than traditional poetry.

and I’ll wander on
everyone everyone just goes away.

wont take the rest of me…right?
don’t hate the best of me…cant love the worst of me
