Prom was the most anticipated activity during my time in high school. I had a guy whom I was dying to go with, but I wasn’t about to ask him! What if I were to be rejected? No, I chose a more subtle (and safer) path- drop hints and hope for the best. After about a week of this approach, I got my reward- he asked me to the prom! From then on, I did the typical girl thing and searched for the perfect hairstyle, dress and make up- I wanted to impress the guy! The long awaited prom day finally came. I got ready and I headed out the door to meet my date for pre-prom photos. We then left and about halfway to the prom location, I realize I forgot to do something of high importance- I forgot to apply deodorant. That’s bad enough on its own, but once I remembered that, I also remembered that I forgot to put body spray or perfume on! The poor guy had to deal with not only a somewhat stinky date, but also a date that just flat out did not smell good. When prom came to a close, I felt great about my evening- but now I carry a little body spray with me wherever I go.

haha yeah, it is! i actually had to write a narrative for my composition class and i decided this was going to be the topic i’d write about. i’d been wanting to write it for a short time and so i figured that assignment was the perfect time. its fun re-reading this and remembering my prom experience- except it’s funnier now than it was at the time!! =)
