Do you know?
Perhaps it’s the time, maybe just a fact.
Some want to know if you know the latest gossip,
Still others ask if you know what something feels like.
How it feels to love, be loved and be forgotten.
What it’s like to be lied to, cheated on and forgiven.
Always asking, never ceasing to compare,
We compare ourselves to those around us,
Revealing only what we want them to see.
Do you know why?
Do you know how?
Always on our minds, am I normal?
Thinking this, wondering that.
We constantly go to people, never to God.
He alone does know, He alone bore it all.
So, tell me, do you know if you’ll go to Him the next time you need to know?
