Peace, my heart, let the time for parting
Let it not be a death, but a beginning.
Let grieving melt into memory and pain into song.
Let the flight through the sky end in the
folding of the wings of an Angel.
Let the memories of Our Hero be gentle like
the flower of the night.
Stand still, O Beautiful End, for a moment,
and say our last words in silence.
We bow our heads to you and hold up our
Flag in honor of your great sacrifice.
We will hold your memory close to our hearts.
Our hero you will always be, in which you
will never part.

This is a poem my sister and I wrote last June for our brother Sgt. Jason J. Buzzard who was killed over in Iraq.
