Mathematics and Science are not exclusively
the domain of atheists and agnostics, Holy Chinese Sages of antiquity cognized the patterns of change and calculated the permutations and combinations of “types of happening”….
This was then precisely described by a sequence of “Hard” and “Soft” developments within each and every happening in the universe….
This was represented by a solid and a broken line… The result was the system of divination called “The ICHING” (pronounced Yee Jing")…
The diagrams made of these solid and broken lines are called hexagrams (made up of six broken or solid lines) and the published oracle of these is called “the Book of Changes” (I-CHING)….
Each Hexagram is constructed of an “Above” and “Below” section called a ‘trigram’.
The diagram of this image shows every one of the 64 hexagrams of this system… which is a profound system of divination, the commentary in the hexagrams is very spiritual and also very practical.
In the author’s opinion the translation of this wise text by Richard Wilhelm, remains the best modern version of the I CHING.
