Ping….. You can wipe out time! Completely! and be smiling, by lunchtime!
This piece of work depicts the experience of “Transcending” which we actually do automatically at least twice a day.
It occurs naturally as an experience in the space between being asleep and being awake… and so if you consider that “asleep” is a state of consciousness, and waking is a state of consciousness, then you realize that that beautiful and perfect state in between the two as we awake gently, is also a state of consciousness…..
It is almost if not entirely impossible to describe how blissful transcending feels when experienced because the reality of it is not existing in RELATIVITY. There is no realtive objective or sensory adjective to describe it…. yet it is very REAL.
So in the sensory world of art all I can do is make metaphors and use symbolism…..
THREE is the factor to which all things happen… conjoined in nature… THREE go to make ONE in a whole-istic sense… hence the three female figures….
The top figure dives down (the act of transcendental-meditation) the two either side are the experience of depth and rest that we often experience as we go deeper so effortlessly into our own consciousness….
The convergence of the three for me, is to suggest the great power of warmth and safety I feel as I get close to transcending all together…. Even three stunningly gorgeous sirens could kiss me with love at that moment in the most sensually warm place, and the REST and RELIEF of transcending makes such intense loving joy even, pale into meaninglessness….
We want for nothing at all in true BLISS….
The effects of this practice are deep and nourishing to life….“My life is under a restoration and rejuvenation”…. this is what I say of the effects of practice of this, in my own life…
This piece of work is a tribute to what I believe is the most perfect system of meditation…. which dives deep and brings up a beam of good life on the rocks above, up through the light-house of my small self….bringing light and vibrancy to my life.
