The Exhaustible Quest For Male Sanity And Happiness by

The goal of a “spotless (quiet) mind”.

The zebras were all white at one time. One day Zebra was hiding from Lion by standing in the tall grass. He stood there for so long and held very still the whole time so that Lion would not see him. The hot sun cast the shadows of the blades of grass across the white of Zebra’s body. He stood there so long that the shadows became permanent and that is why Zebra is striped to this day.

Immediate thanks to Sharon K. Shubert for advice and artistic inspiration.

Thanks to ~dheks at deviant art for the image of the lady.

And thank you to Jessi9999 for the Zebra, also at Deviant art.

Love the layers. This image has an ephemeral, but also a timeless ethereal feel—like the very best of dreams and fairy tales.

  • Thank you Melissa :) I liked the way the zebras black stripes reveal the scene (Truth) through ALL the layers…like the true emotion that we unshakably feel despite our words on occasion… :D
