I have developed an addiction for art ever since my earliest memories of watching my dad illustrating. Growing up, and to this day, I enjoy pouring through children’s fairy tale books to look at the illustrations in them, especially of the exotic and far off places. I especially treasure my battered library copies of books filled with illustrations by Errol Le Cain. I have been influenced by films such as Guillermo Del Torro’s Pan’s Labyrinth and the animated films of Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki and like a lot of Japanese art generally.
