Nanas are sculptures of the French artist Niki de Saint Phalle. Niki can be considered a pop-art artist. She often showed amorous, colourfully designed voluminious female bodies with oversized sexual characteristics.

“Nana” is an ambiguous concept about a modern, self-confident, erotic and wicked female figure. Niki was ahead of her time and with her cry “All power to the Nanas!” she was a precursor of the feminine movement. Her Nanas are often positive, happy, colourful, dancing, oversized and rotund (translated from Wikipedia.de) – and I love them for all this!
