This shot was taken in Makkum, Netherlands. Makkum lies at the shores of the Ijsselmeer, not that far away from the North Sea.
I have been there with one of my classes. My students and I enjoyed this sunset while having a barbecue on board of an old sailing ship.
I just had to make two steps away from “my” ship to get this fantastic view.
One of the best places to be. And the best sunset I have ever seen.
